All the Way to Singapore

This card is all packaged up already to mailed off to an online coffee/hot cocoa loving friend in Singapore. The truth is I am never able to build up much of a stash of cards. I mail out ALL my cards usually right after I make them.

This card is made with all dies from My Favorite Things and I used their weekly sketch:

I am entering it in their Sketch Challenge #417

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge
and
Pixie's Snippets Playground -- I used up all kinds of scraps (snippets) from my scrap basket for this card.

That is it for now....I am headed off to my scrap room and hope to be back later to share more projects with you.

Christmas With Jake and Cole

I actually scrapped these photos on Christmas Day....the same day they were taken! I do not think that has ever happened before. But our family is 1100 miles away and my husband and I were spending a very quiet Christmas Day. My son texted me the photos and voila! I documented the day. Now if I could only get the Christmas photos of the girls from my other son...lol

I played along with the Scrap Our Stash Blend-A-Sketch challenge. This was really a lot of fun.

I used the right hand side sketch for the 4 photo placement and placement of the journaling. I used the left side of the sketch for all the layering behind the photos and the snowflake and hexagon shaped embellishments and also the placement of the title.

Part of the challenge was to use 3 of the same embellishment. I used 3 hearts on the left side of my page.

That is about it for today.  I hope to get back in my creative space later today and work on some more projects. If I do, I will be back to share some more. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Sympathy Card

I found this Stampin' Up complete stamp set at a thrift store last week for only $1.50. Although it is a bit out of the box for me, I could not pass it up. I brought it home and immediately made this card. It is simple bur I think it would be a good sympathy card which I struggle making.

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge.

That is it for now....I will be back later to share a scrapbook page. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

Thanksgiving 2018

I actually scrapped these pictures twice....one for each of my son's albums. It warms my heart to see them get together and celebrate occasions with all the grandkids present. For this page I used the December 15th Sketch #167 from Sketch-n-Scrap:

I am entering it in their sketch challenge.....you can see all the details HERE
There is still plenty of time to play with this sketch and enter.

Thanks for popping in.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I love to scrap Christmas and winter themed pictures in December and January and my younger son Adam accommodated me with some pictures that I was abler to work with earlier this week. This picture was when he and my grandsons went to their favorite Indiana Christmas tree farm on their annual pilgrimage.

I used this awesome sketch from Rochelle Spears and included snowflake paper to enter her

I also used part of the song title from
and I an entering this page there as well.

Finally, I used snowflakes on my page and am entering this winter themed page in the

Well that is about it....I need to finish getting ready and head out to work.

Happy Birthday Alina

My poor niece Alina...I forget her first week in December birthday nearly every year and ooops, I did it again this year. When I realized it, I got up at 4am the next morning and made this card for her.

My new Happy Birthday die from My Favorite Things that I picked up at my local scrapbook store (I like to support my local small businesses whenever I can) made this card a fast and easy project. I wanted to enter MFT's Have a Wild Birthday Challenge this month and this was the perfect opportunity. The challenge was to add a wild animal to a birthday card....flamingos are wild aren't they??

Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking out my creations.

Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop #5

I am here tonight with my 5th entry for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I just love these events that Amy Tsuruta and her crew put on twice a year....so much fun, inspiration and prizes!!

I was inspired by this fun sketch from Stick It Down for my cards:

I am also entering this card at Laurel Seabrook's Inspired By Christmas Linens Challenge. I picked papers for my card that reminded me of Christmas tablecloths and napkins.

And don't forget to leave your comments on all my coffee project posts this week as I will be randomly choosing a winner for this little gift of a coffee bean stencil and $10 Dunkin Donut gift card.

Well I better hit the sheets.....it takes me awhile to shut off my brain sometimes and fall asleep so I better get to bed and try to get a full night's sleep...5am comes very early.

Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop #3

This is y 3rd entry for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop but being the inclusive group that we are, we are also including hot cocoa and tea. So I decided to make a hot cocoa card this time and like how quick and easy it was. That 3x4 card was in my stash from a Simple Stories winter themed collection and the oval sentiment is from a digital freebie a couple of years ago from
Julee Tilman.

I also used Julee's sketch #503 from Mojo Monday....I am so thrilled that Julee is sharing sketches again. I just LOVE her card sketches. I substituted a rectangle for the large circle and an oval for the smaller circle. Sketches are so versatile....I can always feel free to make it my own.

I am offering a small prize to one of the commenter this week on my coffee themed blog posts. This coffee bean stencil and $10 Dunkin' Donuts gift card is up for grabs. I will choose a winner next Sunday evening December 9th.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have had a busy weekend and I think I am going to relax on the couch a bit.

Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop #1

It is one of my favorite times of the year again....time for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Amy Tsuruta works tirelessly to put on these hops which have continued to grow in popularity and participation. This year there are over 80 Super Sponsors with TONS of prizes and a nearly endless supply of inspiration. You REALLY need to check the gallery of entries....they are always amazing.

My first project for this hop is a set of five winter themed cards that I made and donated to the Caring Hearts Drive. My father was in assisted living before he passed away this last summer and it breaks my heart to see how lonely some dear folks are in the assisted living, nursing home and rehabilitation centers in this country. So these cards and the others I made will be given to residents of ALFs to hopefully bring a smile to their face this holiday season.

I am also entering these cards in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge

That's it for right now....I will be back soon with another Coffee themed project. The only thing I like more than drinking coffee is making coffee themed projects.
Oh! I almost forgot to mention that I will be doing a drawing from all the comments on my coffee projects this week for a little blog candy....details to come tomorrow.

Breakfast With Goofy

I have been working on finishing up the last few pages for the album documenting my son and granddaughters' trip to Disney in June 2017 with us. For this page sketch 165 from Sketch-n-Scrap was perfect. I entered it in their monthly challenge.

That is about it for now. I will be back shortly with some cards to share.

Happy 60th

My husband always makes my birthdays special....doing things with me that I really enjoy. Last year I had a milestone birthday as I turned 60 and he turned it into a wonderful day with just the two of us. As a breast cancer survivor, I am keenly aware of how precious life is and Dave helps me to enjoy everyday.

For this page I used the Jump Start Sketch from The ScrapRoom Blog and am entering it in their challenge HERE.

Well, that is about it for now....I was on vacation all last week and it is back to reality and back to work tomorrow. Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Fall 2017

I love the colors of autumn and working with them to create cards and scrapbook pages so I was thrilled to have these photos from my son's Instagram feed to document.

I used this fun sketch from Lisa Hidy at Sketch-n-Scrap and am entering it in their
November challenge. They have the best sketches that keep me inspired all month.

That is it for now. I will be back tomorrow morning to share another page that I have gotten done this month. Thanks for stopping in.

Happy Fall

We do not have much of a fall here in Florida but I love to scrap fall pictures so I was thrilled when my son in the Midwest texted me this picture of the granddaughters at the pumpkin patch recently.

I used this sketch from Rochelle Spears:

I am just slipping this entry in under the wire....I created it Saturday but totally forgot to blog about it until 10 minutes ago. I am entering it in the October Sketch challenge at Rochelle's blog. You can see all the details HERE

Thanks for stopping by my blog....I hope you have a wonderful week.

Peace, Love and Licks

This stamp set from My Favorite Things is one of my newest acquisitions and it is from their most recent release. I must admit, I bought it more for the adorable holiday pun-ny sentiments than the images. Although the sweet canine images are absolutely adorable. I will be using this set quite a bit these next several weeks as I create my 100 Christmas cards that I send out. So far I have about 10 done...lol!

I used this wonderful sketch from MFT:

I am entering it in Sketch Challenge #408

That's it for now. It is Monday -- my least favorite day of the week -- so I am going to watch a bit of TV (new American Pickers) and hit the sheets.

Dream On

I was able to do a bit of creating all weekend in addition to our list of things to do. I am really enjoying getting back to creating after not having the time or motivation for awhile. I have a stack of great pictures and awesome experiences to document from this summer so that is going to keep me busy for awhile. This beautiful picture of my gorgeous red haired toothless granddaughter was perfect to use some fall papers with from the Forever Fall collection by Simple Stories even though the picture was taken at the counter fair last July. I used this easy to work with sketch from
Sketch-n-Scrap:

I am entering it in their monthly sketch challenge....details can be found HERE.

That is all for now....thanks for stopping by my blog.

Halloween Card #4

I made this card for my 17 year old grandson Jacob. It is hard to make cards for older teenagers. But I saw this sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap and it totally inspired this card.

I am entering it in the sketch challenge at Sketch-n-Scrap and in the
Simon Says Stamp Monday Halloween/Spooky Challenge.

Well I have been up since 5am so I think I am going to hit the sheets. Thanks for checking out my blog.

You Are Faboolous

I pulled out a neglected Paper Smooches stamp set for this card. Don't you just LOVE that little green monster? My husband said he looks like the mucous monster from the Mucinex commercial...lol. I just had to put a little witches hat on him. I created this card for my 13 year old grandson. I think the hardest group to make cards for are teenage boys....and I have 2 teenage grandsons. I often rack my brain trying to figure out a card design for them.

I used the fun October sketch from Paper Smooches for this card:

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Halloween/Spooky Challenge.

That is it for now....I have a very busy Saturday ahead of me....early voting, shopping, the gym, housework and date night with my wonderful husband tonight. I will be back later today or tomorrow to share my last Halloween card with you.

Let's Chill

It has been way too long since I played with my Paper Smooches Stamps. I just LOVE the snowmen from this set and I was very inspired by the October sketch.

This card is very sparkly in person....unfortunately all the sparkle did not photograph well. I love my clear Nuevo drops that I used on the background. After using them for the first time on this card, I am really glad that I bought the large bottle.

That is it for now....off to the couch for a little hockey and then bedtime. So glad it is Friday tomorrow.

Week 36

It seems like I am trying to catch up on a bunch of project that I have started, It was difficult this year with my father taking ill several times and his passing in August. It not only affected my time for crafting/memory keeping, it also affected my mojo. But slowly it is coming back and I am tackling the unfinished projects and will be caught up by the end of the year. For the above 6x8 page I used the fun sketch by Suzanna Lee for the Scraproom Blog. I love how sketches can be made to fit pages other that 12x12.

I am using the is page as my entry in the October Jump Start Challenge.

That is it for now....I worked on a couple of cards today so stay tuned tomorrow for a fun Halloween card.

Animal Antics

I am way behind on holiday crafting this year but working hard to catch up. This card is for my oldest granddaughter who is 10 years old and a super animal lover. I used all sentiment and image stamps from My Favorite Things.

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Animal Antics Challenge.

That's it for now....thanks for stopping by.

Witch Way is The Candy?

I spent a LONG time on this card but in the end, I was happy with the result and it is for my youngest grandchild....7 year Izzy so it was worth every moment. The images and sentiment are all from My Favorite Things and I used their Sketch 407:

I am also entering this card in the Inspired By Halloween Challenge this week

and

Simon Says Stamp Monday Starry Night Challenge

Thanks for dropping in....hope you enjoyed your weekend.
